Education

Dr. Rosen completed his Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Behavioral Medicine Program at Harvard Medical School/Cambridge Health Alliance. He earned his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Arizona State University, and completed his pre-doctoral internship at the Center for Multicultural Training in Psychology at the Boston University School of Medicine. He holds an M.A. in Counseling from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. 



Current Roles

In addition to maintaining a private practice, Dr. Rosen is an Assistant Professor in the Counseling and Health Psychology Department at Bastyr University. He teaches multiple courses to graduate and undergraduate students. Additionally, he serves as the Clinical Lead and supervisor for counseling at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health.



Clinical Experience

Over the past 10 years, Dr. Rosen has worked in multiple clinical settings, including Cambridge Health Alliance, Boston Medical Center, and the Bastyr Center for Natural Health. Though he has experience serving children and adolescents, his work has focused on providing care to adults. 



Past Experience

Dr. Rosen founded the non-profit organization AWARE in 2000, whose mission is to enhance the effectiveness of health care practitioners by providing opportunities for cross-cultural learning and exchange. He has served as a Research Fellow and Consultant at the Center for Multicultural Mental Health Research at Harvard Medical School/Cambridge Health Alliance since 2006.



Research Interests

Dr. Rosen’s published works have focused on multicultural psychology, social justice in mental health, American Jewish identity, and the experiences of individuals with disabilities. His interests extend to the areas of health psychology, behavioral medicine, and mindfulness.
